The Weekend is Over
Gee, there are just so many charts I am anxious to start! I even tried making my list for 2008 but that was a little too overwhelming! I have decided that I will wait until the New Year to begin any new starts because of all the holiday busyness over the next several months. I would be very happy to finish up at least two of the WIP I am currently stitching before 2008 which means I will need to give extra time to them. And if they are not finished by the New Year they may be extremely close!
It was another slow stitching weekend. Harold and I had some errands to run, watching old movies on TV together, more errands and yesterday we decided that we were tired of take out and bringing dinner home so we went in to a nice restaurant, sat down and ate there!
Harold asked me what I want for my birthday and Christmas (the two are very close). I really couldn't think of a specific item so I told him I would be happy for a GC to help have some future pieces framed or even a GC to a LNS.
Speaking of Christmas, the radio stations here are already playing Christmas music!! We listened to Bing Crosby's White Christmas. Burl Ives, Karen Carpenter and more this weekend on a local station!
*update* I did go out over the weekend and picked up several new sweaters that I couldn't resist! I also decided to invest in some Flossaway bags for my stitching threads! Hopefully these will make it a little easier to keep track of what I have and what I need!
Today's picture is of a sign at a convience store that gave me a giggle. It's like a subtle reminder to "Just Breathe".

It sounds as if you had a very nice weekend. I think you are making great progress on AAFG. It looks wonderful.
I love the picture of the sign! I need one of those for in my office.
I can't think of a better present than a GC to a LNS/framer.
I know what you mean about too many starts. I had a 50% off coupon for Micheal's crafts and I went there and bought another set of scroll frames so I can start more projects and have even more in progress. GC are a great idea for gifts for a stitcher, my dh never knows what to get me, I usually just buy my own but he insisted on taking me to our closest lns last week, that was kind of a b-day present. The floss-a-way bags are good idea, I was thinking about going that direction. I recently started using dmc floss bow system, it's not the greatest system.
Love the picture - too funny!
Your weekend sounds fun. We're going to try to go out to eat this weekend coming - without kids! :0
I definitely recommend the Floss*A*Way bags. You can see how I organize my bags here.

Right now I have all my floss that I bought at WalMart put away, but I need to update the database with what I have and what I now need. That won't happen until next month.
Yes, a little break in new starts should let you catch up. I have no idea what I will be starting in January. Maybe I need to make a list!
It sounds like a nice weekend. I'm having fun watching your progress on all your stitching! I'm envious~how do you do it?
What a great sign! This is the time of year when we all can use a little reminder to come up for air! My 2 cents: I use Floss-a-way bags and I love them. Loved your remark on my Williamsburg Post :~)That place is magical, isn't it?
An LNS GC is the perfect gift! My DH never gets me one... GRRRR.... I am with you - no new starts until the holidays pass... but I am so itching to start A Quaker Christmas - LOL! We will have to lean on each other here!
