Energy and Coffee

It has been 7 months since I had my last cigarette but I still get the cravings for one from time to time. They usually pass very quickly but last just long enough to be extremely annoying! Most of the time I find myself unconsciously reaching for one to light up. Then I realize "oh yeah, I don't smoke anymore". LOL!

I really need to get myself back into a routine and on track with my schedule again! It seems as though my blogging has been sporadic and my stitching has been even more so! Not to mention that I have felt really lazy about getting outside to take my nature photos! I was told that as I began to change from hyper thyroid to hypo thyroid I would feel sluggish and lacking any energy. I must be in the transition because I have felt so blah with absolutely no get up and go! Hopefully this will be the month I am able to start taking the thyroid medicine that will help get me off this horrible roller coaster ride!

While making a quick run to the grocery store yesterday I noticed that the holiday coffees had arrived so I splurged! I bought a pound each of Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon Gingerbread and Holiday Peppermint! Yum! I can't wait to fix a pot of each! I enjoy my coffee but I have a true weakness for flavored coffees!

Our mail arrived late yesterday but look what I got! A wonderful Crazy Exchange (http://crazyexchange.blogspot.com/) from Nadia! Everything is so beautiful! Thank you Nadia and now I will find the perfect return exchange to send to you!

That blah feeling is the worst, I totally hate when I feel like that, it's like I don't want to go to sleep but I don't want to do anything else either and I can't get anything accomplished.// I want to encourage you to keep up with the good job of quitting smoking. My dh quit in 1997 (or somewhere around that time) after smoking for 16 years (since he was 14 yrs. old). He had tried to quit once before and went back, but then succeeded the second time. When I married him, he smoked all of the time (it was expensive because we were poor then and had 4 little children, it's even so much more expensive now, thank God he quit). In 2003, when he was in Iraq, he took up chewing tobacco, I am a little disappointed about that, he chews everyday, but after a year or 2 of it, I finally accepted it. I hope you can stay smoke-free, it is so worth it!!

Keep up the good work on the no-smoking front! That has to be extremely difficult. And I hope that the new meds help with the blahs. I kind of go through that cycle from time to time and it is very frustrating. But I just love seeing your progress and one would never guess that your stitching is sporadic. Sometimes I think we all expect too much of ourselves. I am intrigued by the Pumpkin Spice coffee ~ sounds like something that would call lots of whipped cream on top! Yum is right!

I know the feeling. The blahs hit me when my bursitis acted up and now that I am fine it seems really hard to get the stitching ball rolling. The cigarette cravings must drive you crazy but work through them and they will disappear. Activity is the craving killer. Good for you on splurging on the coffee!
