Catching Up!

What a heat wave we have been having and they have been accompanied by severe thunderstorms almost every evening. Usually I am outdoors during these months, puttering around with my plants but this year I have turned into a hermit, staying indoors as much as possible away from the heat. Once in a while I venture out in the evenings just to sit on the deck and survey my kingdom (as such).

No, I am not finished with Independent Mind. I ran out of a needed color floss and that delayed my stitching several days along with a bum wrist that needed a rest. But I am stitching again and am close to the end. Very close! I should be really pushing myself at this point but it almost feels like work to even pick it up! I don't think I will do a big piece again for quite awhile!

Life has been keeping me busy (in a dull way) with doctor appointments and such so I haven't had anything interesting to post on my blog for you. These hot summer days just drain me. Physically and emotionally. I am ready for some cooler crisp Autumn days!

You can do it with Independent Mind...just a bit more and you'll be done! :)
Cooler, crisp weather sounds great...although I think we have a bit to wait since yesterday was the first day of summer :)
Hugs Sherry!

I hear you on the hot summer days - what is up with the weather this year? If it's not hot and steamy, then it's raining! Fall is looking more and more attractice all the time.

Can't for your AIM finish!

I hear you about the heat. YUCK! But at least the flowers are enjoying the rain. :)

I'm sure you will finish IM soon. And any way what's the rush? :) You can always put it down and do something small and finish it later.

Sorry you aren't enjoying your summer this year. We had such an awful winter that most folks around here that normally complain about the heat and humidity are still thanking God that winter is finally over. I'm usually the only one soaking up the heat.

Waiting patiently for your AIM finish. It'll be done soon I'm sure.

I agree, Sherry (by the way, love the way you spell your name) bring on the autumn! don't like summer much myself.

I hear ya - it is just plain HOT! My plants usually make a little longer but this year everything is already wilting - including me!

Your Independent Mind is looking fabulous, but I can understand needing a break from it. And oh, it's so hot here - 101 today! Yuck!!!

I'm not quite ready for the autumn days, though it is my favorite time of year. Our winter was so loooong this past and I just hate to see summer come to a close.
I know you will be happy to get that IM finished!
