The Blahs Can Be Good!

What a nice weekend! Mr. Sun came to visit us and the temps warmed up to early Spring status! The perfect days for getting out. We didn't have any usual errands to run so we just went out and about. We are wanting to do some repairs to the house so we made a visit to our home store to get some ideas on items and prices. I think I found everything I want plus a few extras! Other than that it was nice dull weekend! No hospitals, no ambulances, no excitement and no stress!

It seems like it's been quite awhile since I shared any of my stitching with you and I have been hoping my needle would take on wings so I could soar through the rest of my current WIP but it is just taking longer than I expected especially since my bursitis flare up this weekend. I had to take it easy on the stitching a few days but in the mean time I will give you all a sneak peek! Hopefully I will have a new finish to show off and happy dance around sometime this week! I should be getting a call this week that my orders are in and my framing is ready at the LNS. I am not a patient person so it has seems to take forever! As you can tell, I am expecting this to be a really good week!

Yea, Daylight Savings Time will be starting up again soon. I know a lot of people prefer Standard Time because of the mornings being dark longer but I just love those longer daylight evenings!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Your visits and comments really brighten my days! Until next time, may you have simple days and an uncluttered heart!

I'm not sure whether I like the Daylight Savings thing or not. It always takes an adjustment. I don't seem to sit down and stitch as much while it's still light outside.

I love the DST - more light. Grandson will not like it as he will still have a 7P bedtime (6:30 comes early for a K student). More stitching for Grandma!

Happy Stitching!

I'm ready to SPRING forward...I am always ready for shorter days in the fall but here I am ready for it to be light at 9 p.m. :) LOL! My kids hate it because the sun will still be shining when they have to go to bed. And I'll hate it because I have to run up and down the stairs telling them to be quiet and go to sleep.
LOL!

I can't wait for spring to arrive - it'll be in the 60's here day. I hope I can spend sometime outside this afternoon enjoying the sunshine.

DST, never really thought about whether I like it or not.

enjoy your day.

Wow, my framing guy takes a lot longer than yours. :D that's ok though -- I'm patient. I'm looking forward to spring. It's been feeling much more springlike, thank goodness! HOpe it keeps up! Glad Harold is doing well! And you too! Like your stitchy sneak peek.

I so love the light at the end of the day and love daylight savings for that reason. I don't like losing that hour of sleep but the trade off is worth it. IMO. :)

I can't wait to see your finish. I do hope the bursitis flare up subsides quickly.

I love DST! It is so dark here during the winter that we need the sun to replenish our spirits. It stays light until about 10:45 during the summer months. Love it! I figure it's a trade off for it being pitch dark at 5 pm during the winter.

I'm definitely ready for spring! Never really thought much about DST - we just roll with it I guess. I agree it's much harder to get the kids to be, but then again, with longer days they are outside more and the fresh air helps them to fall asleep better!

No fair with the sneak peek! I want more!

We did the same thing as you. Hit the home store and made plans for what needs doing around here and then what I want to do around here. 2 different things unfortunately.

Your little sneak peek looks great!
We had a nice weekend and did get out in the yard just a bit to get rid of some stuff that didn't make it through our winter freeze. (dead or alive, those palm thingies have thorns and they hurt - just one more reason to get rid of it!)
Have a great week!
