Weekend Wishes

I know I have said this before but I really need to put aside a day or two every so often just for finishing off completed stitches. I have a basket with about 6 just waiting for my attention!

Here is MHIBIG in all her current up to date glory! Actually, I have done more than this since I took the picture. I am really excited to be getting so close to finishing. I bought a frame at a yard sale over the summer just for this piece. I wasn't sure if it would be big enough but I think it will work. It was only a dollar and is lightweight plastic but it looks like a dark wood with lots of wonderful carvings.

I have my new starts all picked out upon completion of MHIBIG but for now I am keeping them a secret. I really want to get a start on my HRH designs sometime during this year. I had started on HoHRH a while back but I didn't like the fabric so it is back in the bin kitted up and ready to go again at some point. Right now I am struggling with what size fabric I want to use when I do begin on them. I don't want the designs to be enormous when finished. A lot of you have already finished off one of two of these and/or are working are one. What size fabric did you use?

I know. I know. I said I wasn't going to buy any new designs for awhile but the Nashville Market is coming up soon (said in my best whiney voice)! Autumn at HRH will be out. A definite gotta have. I am just in love with this village and I want to live there! I haven't even seen Autumn yet and I am already anxious to know what's in store next for HRH! All the sneak peeks will be starting up soon and I know there will be at least a handful (if not more) that will catch my interest! So much for my will power but my intentions are pure gold! I can't wait for all the sneak peeks to begin! *insert wicked laugh*

Be sure to check back on Monday for another giveaway! Thanks so much for stopping by! Until next time, may you have simple days and an uncluttered heart!

What wonderful progress you are making! I think we all have a few WIP sitting on the sidelines begging for our attention. At the beginning of '09, I did great at following a rotation but then other 'pretties' caught my attention and my rotation got put aside along with those WIP.

Enjoy your weekend.

Beautiful piece you are working on.

Autumn at HRH sounds interesting. I really want to get these and do one.

Sigh. So many wonderful patterns and so little time.

:)

Great progress. It will soon be done.
I can understand you so well about the HRH series. I'm also waiting for Autumn. I rarely buy new charts nowadays and love to stitch from my stash, but new Prairie Schoolers and HRH are a big exception.

Only 6? You lucky lady- I have a whole drawerful. One of my resolutions is to finish off one of them a week, at least.
Your work is beautiful!

That is such a pretty sampler. I just love the colors in it. And I, like you, will not announce what starts I want to do this year. I'm still trying to catch up on the ones I was going to start last year. Just two to go and I'm caught up!

I just love that sampler! So pretty! As for the HRH series, yes, Autumn in the Hollow will be a must for me too. lol! I did my HRH series (the ones I did) on 40ct fabric. Still big, but they're so pretty!

What a lovely piece you are working on, it will be beautiful when it is finished. So far I have avoided rotations as once I start to stitch on something I tend to want to keep stitching on it. I also have the fear that if I did try a rotation I'd end up with lots of on-going projects that never got finished!

Wonderful!!! It will look fantastic in the frame that you chose.

I'm looking for Autumn at HRH too! Fall is my favorite season!

Oh my, you have made so much progress on that piece since I saw it last! Wonderful!! I'm waiting to see Autumn, as well, and I've not even started on Christmas or finished Village! And we all know how my stitching is when it's time to garden. But I don't think this snow will be gone until July! :)
