An Oldie but Goodie
I pulled out one of my WIPs that I began during the Fall. It is With My Needle by The Goode Huswife. Vonna and I had planned to do a SAL using this design but we both got sidetracked by life. For now this will be the WIP that I work on when I have time on the weekends. I was able to work on it a little during some breaks over the past weekend and here is where I am now on it. Still a lot to do but farther along than it was!
Not much going on around here lately. The sun has come out making for several very nice days but we must have had some rain too because our yard is squishy wet. Even with the nicer temperatures I have been hold up inside just stitching away! I put it all down long enough to go outside and put some birdfood in the feeders for my little darlings before they think I have totally abandoned them then I sat on the deck while enjoying my coffee in the nice warm sun.
I am coming right along with "A Mind..." by CHS and will have another updated progress photo to share next post. Finding that rhythm made all the difference in stitching the top alphabet but I must confess that I will glad to finish that part off and get on to fun part of the sampler!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I always enjoy your visits. Until next time, may you have simple days and an uncluttered heart.

I know what you mean about the squishy yard. :) A lot of it seems to get tracked into the house by my furkid. I sure wish it would dry up. :)
Love the piece you are working on. It is in my to do pile. Sigh. One of these days. Just too many things to stitch and not enough time. Maybe I should give up sleep. :)
Our yard is squishy in some parts but mostly it's crunchy with the freeze thaw, freeze thaw and oh! let's throw some freezing fog, and drizzle in there too! :)
Your progress looks GREAT!
Your progress looks great and it's nice to have a partner in crime for stitching along with. Can't wait to see more and also your "A Mind....." piece.
I'm glad to see that the Mind piece is stitched on a non-linen fabric. I use a 22 hardanger for a lot of stitching as it is easy on the eyes and at 58 my counting is not always accurate when using linen.
At least you have a yard to squish as I only have sand (white like snow) at my new house in northern SC - grass would be nice and maybe someday that too will appear.
Your stitching is lovely. It's going to rain tomorrow so I get to stitch again!
Love the GH piece you're stitching on. Can't wait to see more on A Mind.
I love With My Needle! Isn't it awful how life can get in the way of an SAL? And A Mind -- can't wait to see more!
My son asked me if it was time for the weather to be getting warmer -- he's almost 16 so he should know these things, but I guess he doesn't! lol! We've had rain here too. Weird weather!
I absolutely love this piece. It's one of my favorites that I stitched last year (I think). I will enjoy watching your progress.
Great progress. I guess that is one advantage of winter you can stay inside and stitch.
Nice progress! Weather here is disgusting. Just below freezing (unbelievably warm for January) but with slush and general ick everywhere.
Great start, look forward to seeing this one progress.
We're having variable weather here too - rain showers, mostly at night, then sunshine and clouds chasing each other during the day. They say more rain is coming, but we've already had more than our normal for the month - I'm done with the stuff.
Nice to pull out one we want to work on - variable weather here!
