Everything has been busier than usual around here lately. Or so it has seemed. I haven't had time to play around with any of my stitching or scrapbooking until today when I did pick up MHIBIG once again. I am hoping that everything begins to settle back into place by the end of the month. I do miss reading all the blogs I enjoy so much!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I have been stocking up for the big day. I even bought TWO turkeys last week. One for Thanksgiving and another for Christmas. Who could blame me at 40 cents a pound! For now our Thanksgiving menu is pretty traditional.
1. Turkey
2. Dressing
3. Green Bean Cassarole
4. Mashed potatoes and gravy
5. Deviled Eggs
6. Cranberry sauce
7. Pumpkin Pie
What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Until next time, may you have simple days and an uncluttered heart.

Sherry, it's nice to see you again! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Wow $.40/lb? That's amazing! We're having all of Paulette's family over, including Frieda. I love Thanksgiving! Have a good one.
I love Thanksgiving, but about a dozen years ago we started participating in a convention in Los Angeles that starts Friday morning. So we always spend Thursday driving down to LA. We used to have Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's house there, but it was always odd as they were on the verge of a divorce for years. Now we are lucky to get a burger somewhere. But that's OK, because we WILL have the traditional dinner, just not on Thursday. I love turkey and dressing and gravy and cranberries too much to miss it. Have a good one yourselves!
Dinner sounds yummy. I am going to my Aunt and Uncle this year. First one in I can't remember that I'm not cooking.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Have a great Thanksgiving, Sherry! I hope things calm down a bit so you can enjoy some scrapbooking/stitching time. Everyone will be home for Thanksgiving -- the dd will be arriving tonight. Take care!ca
We have all the traditionals: Turkey, Sausage Stuffing, Candied Yams, Smashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Creamed Corn and Yeast Rolls. For some reason, we have lots of pies for dessert: Pumpkin, Pecan, Chocolate Cream, Lemon Meringue and Apple. No cakes - just pies - lol!
Wishing you and all your dear ones a very Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, Sherry!
Sounds like a lovely Thanksgiving for you! We have a great time with family in Boise, very low-key and relaxing. :D And especially fun when Boise State wins their football game like they did last night!!
