Even though it is still Winter, the
Bluebirds are already shopping for a suitable place to raise a family! I always
keep my fingers crossed that at least one couple will choose one of the
birdhouses in our yard!
I decided that it was time to pull some of those WIPs out and work on them some even if each one only gets several hours a month. I do this every year then I get tired of working on them but this year I am going to do my very best to stay strong! I really don't like to use the term WIP. I prefer to refer to them as "in my hoop". Some of these have sat around so long because the charts mysteriously disappeared! I got tired of looking for them and just reordered the ones that were still available! Among the ones I pulled out was And A Forest Grew by Rosewood Manor. This is my oldest WIP. There a few others that I will share as I work on them.
I was able to get some more stitched on the Our Father by My Big Toe. I am pleased with my progress on it and how it is turning out. The Our Father and the Apostle's Creed are basically the same design so I wanted to make them look alike by using similar colors but I also wanted each to be different in it's way so I used different fabrics. Who knows, I may finish this one up before my next round of infusions!
I noticed that I have some new
followers! Fun! I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy posting on
it. Until next time, may you have simple days and an uncluttered
heart.

Your 'in the hoop' projects are looking good. What a wonderful bluebird picture you share!
Beautiful stitching!
Both are lovely pieces and great colour choices!!
I'm not sure how projects get separated and misplaced, but I frequently have that problem too. :D Love your projects!
Love both projects. Beautiful! Hope some bluebirds settle in your birdhouse!
I love then both Sherry! Looks like both aren't far from the end!
You know, I have NEVER seen a bluebird in real life--I hope you get a nesting couple in your yard :) Lovely stitching, Sherry!
The Rosewood Manor piece And a Forest Grew is the first piece that I stitched on linen. It was a collaborative piece at my LNS for one of the owners' birthday, back when it came out... After that, I began using linen all the time! You don't really have much to go... you can probably get it done this year! And the MBT piece is really progressing also! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sherry, so happy to have found your blog! Looks like we have many things of interest in common. Thanks for sharing them!
I also love watching the birds in our garden, particularly now in the winter when they gather on and around their feeding place. In winter I see birds that only come when it's cold. Very lovely.
Both your pieces are so beautiful, Sherry. So nice that you could add some progress on them.
