You go on and finish IM - you can do it! I have about 5 big UFO's that just depress me even thinking about them because I have no idea how many years will be involved getting them done. And I have about 350 patterns waiting to be stitched! (I'm not exaggerating either...)Jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05377306162699247372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15201182.post-14033416208246130152010-05-18T04:40:51.447-04:002010-05-18T04:40:51.447-04:00Sherry, I'm right there with you. It is fine to take a break and start something else--it's your hobby, after all. I keep telling myself that, but can't think of anything that I want to start. Ack!Siobhánhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14664728276490470180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15201182.post-78307214675119210082010-05-17T14:00:37.837-04:002010-05-17T14:00:37.837-04:00Lovely flower - start something new is my motto if...Lovely flower - start something new is my motto if you want something different!Carolyn NChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01938036331069149703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15201182.post-87757343721795624292010-05-15T08:45:44.131-04:002010-05-15T08:45:44.131-04:00It's so hard to make myself keep going on a pr...It's so hard to make myself keep going on a project when I get bored with it--even though I know it will be beautiful in the end. That's why I'm still not finished with Village, but since sticking with it, I can hardly wait to get back to it some days and get it done. Maybe you could just have an alternate project and limit your stitching on IM to one or two days per week.Littlebithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00641467936312799152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15201182.post-49871602307674649442010-05-14T19:00:57.738-04:002010-05-14T19:00:57.738-04:00I like Kathy's idea! do a little something dif...I like Kathy's idea! do a little something different and then return to IM...that is how I cope, I have my little smalls I do every month then I work on my humungous pieces. Something simple like an ornament. That gives you the satisfaction of a finish while renewing your stitching mojo. It's such a wonderful piece, but yet I know how it is when you're working on a large project - you have enough of it after a while. I totally understand not wanting to start something new, it makes it that much harder to go back and finish the one you put down, even if it is momentarily. Good luck on your fininshing task ahead, it will be so well worth it and lovely to boot! Your Aunt would be proud you have honored her in such a way.
